Two thoughts for you . . . First, you may really be a woman trapped in a man's body, and if so that will never change. So it's always best to be honest with yourself about who you are. Second, I would never recommend throwing away / "ruining" your life over something unless you're very very certain it's what you want. Think through all the potential repercussions before you do something that you'll never be able to take back or change later. Personally I've found that I can be quite happy as a crossdresser - a male in my day to day life, and a female in private. It doesn't work for everyone, but it's an option worth considering.
